This ST record was so far ahead of its time, it may still be too early. It combines the angular guitars and pounding rhythm section of post-punk, with a sinister vibe, and is crazy on top with some mad in the streets howling from singer Jack Brewer. Brewer is a genius poet, and was doing spoken word when Henry Rollins was still at the gym pumpin' iron. Joe Baiza is a tragically underrated guitarist, check his blistering chops on this album, or dig his punk-jazz phase on other SST releases like Universal Congress Of. Here, the band is tight, mean, and ready to punch your earholes. Check "I Am Right" and "Effort To Waste" for a taste of the blistering genius of this band. GET IT NOW.
