I love the digital age

SlowBow

I had to take a trip to Germany to get this rare album back in the 80s. I love the Scorpions and I love the fact that fans can access their entire catalog so easily now.

artsy roots

DinosaurAttack

Highlights - "It All Depends" recalls Black Sabbath's "Rat Salade"; "In Search Of The Peace Of Mind" begins with sing-song acoustic guitar and ends with dark, bludgeoning riffs and wailing vocals; "Leave Me" sounds alot like David Byron-era Uriah Heep; "Lonesome Crow" is a sprawling piece that shows off their imaginative rhythm section. The Scorpions' debut is less hard rock/heavy metal, and more like the space rock of Amon Düül II crossed with the combustible lead guitars of Michael Schenker.

This is the original

despite the weird album cover. This is the first scorpions album and the brothers Schenker are awesome. The guitar work on this album is top notch and laid the groundwork for much metal work that followed. Download in its entirety or you will be sorry.
