A Blast from the 50/70's
Sha Na Na rode the wave of interest in 50's music that broke after 1973's AMERICAN GRAFFITI. This group kept just enough of the original sound of their repertoire that they were reminiscent of the originals instead of just mediocre covers. They gave original twists to 20-year old songs, while remaining true to the genre. Their excellent vocals and stage personalities made them entertaining, whereas "Sound Alike" groups or reunions of 70 year-old performers often tend to bore. Sha Na Na managed to give many of these songs more character than the originals! The only drawback of this collection is you can't see their onstage antics!
