Ahh, Jazz ...!

CheeseFoot

Every 6 months or so, I buy a Jazz album on the basis of listening to the 30s clips. Big mistake! Why is jazz so full of musicians spaffing around? I like atonal stuff as much as anyone, but really, this album is full of grown men (and women?) who should know better! Each genre has it's own stupidities, and this album is full of the one that jazz is best known for - namely people trying to make things as jarring as they possibly can, devoid of melody or any feeling except anxiety, and all based around the geeky notion that as many incompatible notes as possible crammed into the smallest amount of time possible, is a good idea! It's like being poked with sharp sticks by a nasty band of pretentious octopuses! But seriously, you may like this, but only if you really (and I mean really) like 'jazz'. If you're undecided about that, then give this a miss!
