Many things to many people

More and more artists are cross-overs; borrowing the best from multiple genres. Shannon is an excellent example of this trend. If you like the best of rock and roll, blues, and a touch of country, you'll love this album. I agree that the narrowness of classification is the weakness of the eMusic classification system; it doesn't adequately address this kind of artist.

She's misfiled in Blues

Shannon is very talented - don't get me wrong - I like her! But this is a rock/pop album - NOT blues. She might find more fans if she was in the right genre. As far the music goes: I like how she's maturing, but this collection is rather too slickly produced for my taste.
