Just my thoughts

mitchelltngator

It is rare that a country group comes along that can sing songs that relate to aspects of your life that even poetry can not touch. In their song "Momma Knows," Shenandoah manages to vocalize the depths of the experience we all have with our mother's if we are lucky and it can be felt through this song even when they are gone. Their song "Moon Over Georgia," is the southern man's anthem to his woman. The lead vocalist's heartfelt words are every woman's fantasy. The true test of every artist and song is the test of time.Shenandoah's songs have stood up to that test, but none like "Ghost in This House". The imagery and well written verses of this song have haunted breakups and soothed many broken hearts. No band has had the same impact on my life as Shenandoah.

They Say All Music Guide

Super Hits collects ten tracks recorded during Shenandoah’s tenure with Columbia Records in the late ’80s and into the ’90s. Included are the original versions of “Mama Knows,” “The Church on Cumberland Road,” “Next to You, Next to Me,” and “Two Dozen Roses.” This collection is a good bargain for the budget-conscious. – Al Campbell
