Sho's like wine...

DAcreations

...the man gets better after each album! Great beats (which some recent albums are lacking) with some heavy metaphors and good wordplay. Sho's definitely polishing his style! Great album!

Sho's new cd is a killer. His metaphors, similes, and content is second to none. He even did a Christian love song titled "We Can be More"(of course w/o profanity and making mention of his car a million times)that should make secular rappers regroup. This album is a must have.

On the next level...

Waynebo

I liked "Turn My Life Up", but this joint is definitely on the next level. The production is much better this time around, and the album is filled with dope concepts that are well-executed. I love it when I see an artist that is improving because that shows that they take their craft seriously - something that is very often missing in hip-hop. Dope concepts and rhyme skills beat -and out last - swagger every time. There has been a lot of hype and anticipation around this album and it definitely measures up. I was a little skeptical when I saw that a few people had given it 5 stars, but after listening I'm right there with them. Download the whole joint. 12 credits well spent... Well done, Sho!!

They Say All Music Guide

Serving the Lord and testifying the whole way, Christian hip-hop artist Sho Baraka gets more aggressive with his Gospel on this second effort, Lions & Liars. “Radio don’t play us/Television mock us/The truth is still spreadin’/There’s no way they can stop us,” he declares on key track “Shut Us Down,” and throughout the album he takes a “you’re either with us or you’ll suffer the consequences” stance. Putting some serious power behind the rapper’s quest to convert the world are crunching rock guitars and Flo Rida-styled club tracks plus an all-star Christian rap guest list that goes from Lecrae to Tedashii. Even on this stately and purposeful album, the clever Sho still lets some levity in, shining and smiling on the fourth-quarter highlight “Kobe Bryant on ‘Em,” which features the nondenominational gem “When life throws you curveballs/Nolan Ryan on ‘em.” – David Jeffries
