First - this isnt by Shut up and dance - its a compilation by the unabombers. Luke and Justin bring us the long overdue third installment of the Electric Chair mix CD series, celebrating some of the best tunes played at the night, all of which became hand-waving, foot-stamping, net-pulling anthems down at the Music Box (and Roadhouse) over the 13 years of the club's existence. Just looking at the track-listing has put a smile on my face and sent a few reminiscing shivers up my spine. So what do we get from the last chance one more tune saloon? Well, there's early doors favourites like Shut Up And Dance's "Blackmen United" and the Fila Brazilia mix of Fluke's "Tosh", and a touch of 80s from The Human League. Disco pops up on Metro Area's "Caught Up", The Joubert Singers "Stand On The Word" (remixed by Larry Levan), and Balihu's "Like Some Dream I Can't Stop Dreaming", with Sly Mongoose "Snakes and Ladders" (the Rub N Tug mix) bringing things further up to date. i know tirk can be hit or miss. but this comp more or less sucks. the 2 good songs. i already have. i'm not sure the world need disco gospel god love tracks. let alone 3 version of.
