Who'da thunk it
Anyone who's every seen Si (Simon) huddled over a walkman, and with little more than an effects pedal turn out the most incredible sounds will be surprised by this: immaculately constructed songs and vocals that are sometimes oddly reminiscent of David Kitt. There comparisons end, however: there's no hint of Kittser's occasionally twee tendencies. Instead we have an extraordinaryly eclectic collection of - electronica-influenced - songs characterised by endlessly varying soundscapes. Don't get me wrong though - they are definitely songs, no onanistic meandering here. The clips cannot do them justice: I suggest downloading Lavendermist. If you enjoy that, the rest is even better.
