The story goes that Sidney Bechet wrote this song while traveling on the train back to New Orleans after attending his mother's funereal. Anyway, that is what I remember Teddy Buchner said when he played this song with his side man Couchy Roberts on soprano sax. Quality of this recording is very good. This is a great moving piece. Five stars!
