No matter! Love this guy's pipes, and his taste in material that completely suits his groovin' style. Whether it's slow-burn, aching rhythm and blues, sparkling pop, or a reworking of a song you thought you knew by heart, Mick knows his way around a tune.
If you do just a little more research on Amazon. you will discover that the "25" stands for the number of years SR had been in the business when this album was released. BUT WAIT, there's more!. Seems the album is available in a single CD, 17 track version (carried by both eMu and Amazon in MP3 format) AND a double CD deluxe (with DVD of videos), and the 2x CDs contain - wait for it - 25 tracks between them.
Come on guys the album title has 2 lines. "Simply Red 25" Second line "T-h-e greatist hits" The 25 is in red, which tells me it is something other than the # of songs.
No disrespect, but the title doesn't say 25 hits, but 25, the greatest hits. Possibly meaning celebrating 25 years of the band. Just my two cents. None-the-less, it's a wonderful album of blue-eyed soul. Nice covers of Money's Too Tight, You Make Me Feel Brand New, and If You Don't Know Me By Now.
First Reviewer is correct. It says 25 tracks on the album cover.
I just checked Amazon. Not sure what the other reviewer is talking about, but Amazon also has 17 tracks for this album. This is classic Simply Red. If you like the style, you'll love this album.
17 tracks on the download, even Amazon gives all 25.
