Essential jazz masters-Slide Hampton
This is a compilation of \"Slide Hampton and his Horns of Plenty\",\"Two Slides of Slide Hampton\"and \"Explosion-the Sound of Slide Hampton\". Several of the tunes are poorly mixed(i.e.the bari. sax is overbearing).For my taste , there are charts that were over arranged sounding much like a music school assignment.BUT-much fine playing makes this more than well worth the price.This is a keeper.
