I did not thik it was as good as Eyes Open; overproduced. Too much orchestra. Prefer just the band. Like Called Out In the Dark. Like the band so I bought the whole album. Might be more careful next time.

Mellow-traumatic, soothing. I hear influences with R.E.M. I really enjoyed the whole album. Not much to say bad about it. Chasing cars single was my favorite song not on this album but a similar style. If you want good background music I highly suggest this album

Fallen Empires is the sixth studio album from British alt-rock outfit Snow Patrol. Following the success of hit singles such as “Chasing Cars” – which spent 106 weeks in the UK Charts – lead singer Gary Lightbody suffered bouts of writer’s block whilst penning this record; it has, however, spawned pop gems “I’ll Never Let Go” and first single “Called Out in the Dark”. The band purposely push their boundaries here, involving influences from R.E.M.’s Michael Stipe, Queens of the Stone Age guitarist Troy Van Leeuwen and vocal contributions from American folk singer Lissie., Rovi – Scott Kerr
