At BEST a Danzig rip-off
The first one IS better. In fact, it's a physical impossibility for their second album to be even as good, due to Mr. Havok's absence. Not that their initial release was fantastic, but this genre needs all the good musicians it can get. "Death Baby" might as well be a Danzig B-Side. And no, that's not a good thing. This could've been the best band in years, but the writing, arrrangement, and instrumentation is so lackluster. Without Davey, Son of Sam might as well be a Danzig cover band that only plays originals. (So, if you must...'Key' Tracks: "Into the Night", "Sons of New". THAT'S IT!)
