BOTH sonny boy's, mixed together.

mr. mark

This is a weird collection of both artists known as Sonny Boy Williamson, including tracks in which they appeared as sidemen. Rice Miller (Sonny Boy II) is heard in early 50's cuts from his Trumpet Records era, prior to his signing with Chess. Some of this stuff is new to me, it may be rare. Tiny Kennedy sounds like Big Joe Turner! Most of the first half of the disc is SBW I, John Lee Williamson, who was murdered in the 1930's, and recorded for RCA Bluebird. Both were great singers and harpmen, both clever songwriters. Great stuff, though a bit confusing.Gonna buy it!

Sonny Boy 1

This is Sonny Boy 1, not Sonny Boy 2 as pictured on the album cover. Great stuff, though.

Never heard

I'm no blues aficionado, but I love old blues masters. I've heard a few songs by Sonny Boy Williams but not all of this. I sampled the first 12 and liked them so I figure the rest are a bonus. Hopefully I can find some vinyl with Sonny Boy.
