Indiscreet (Sparks)
My favorite of all Sparks albums! "Indiscreet" has so many different styles in the course of 50 minutes that it can be dizzying. The music and lyrics are absolutely perfect. The production by Tony Visconti allows the guys' personalities to shine through. This was the third in the series of "Kimono My House", "Propaganda" and "Indiscreet". The humor of the cover gives a clue as to the contents. What could be more indiscreet than a plane crash in the front yard? The best songs on the album were not the hits. The hit singles "Looks, Looks, Looks" and "Get In the Swing" are good...especially "Looks, Looks, Looks" but the songs I liked most when I bought the vinyl was "How Are You Getting Home" and "In the Future". This extended cd includes the b-side "Profile" which would have been my favorite track had it been on the album. The impossibly rare "Wedding of Jackie Kennedy to Russell Mael" is a definite plus for the collector.
