I could not disagree more with the above review. Each sparrow album has been original, powerful and beyond harmonic. The texture of dark, moody folk riffs and the beauty of the vocals is unbeatable. The Sparrow and the Workshop are on my top 3 band list of the last few years and they can pretty much do no wrong. The production is superb and the quality of songwriting is outstanding. I cannot really put this band into a genre. They are folky, but with hard, raging riffs. They are poppy, but not mix it so well with killer harmonies and unique songwriting. When you cannot compare a band to anyone else, this usually means you have found a gem. And this band deserves to be on more people's radar.
