overlooked classic
Brilliant 1999 album from a criminally underrated band. Essential British indie pop with a shot of northern soul, featuring the peerless songwriting of Shirley Lee. Try Sweeping the Nation, We're Going Out, A Trip Into Space and It Won't Be Long Now, though for 12 credits it's well worth getting the whole thing. Also, 11 bonus tracks on this special edition if you've already got the album.
