Spike plays it Straight.
It's easy to forget that Spike Jones had more than one of the funniest shows of the swing era, he also had a stable of great musicians. On this album, Spike and his band play it straight. No cow bells, no flautophone, no pistol shots, just great music. Spike rocks the trot is particularly nice for dancing.
