They Should Have Turned It RIght Side Up
Personally, I cut this album some slack because I liked the Spin Doctors a lot when I was in junior high. First concert I ever went to without adult supervision. First mosh pit. First time I got kicked in the head. But, really, this is one of the most mediocre releases of the 90s. Best tracks: "You Let Your Heart Go Too Fast" is a passable rewrite of "LMCBW". "Cleopatra's Cat" is an interesting idea that is executed poorly. "Mary Jane" and "Laraby's Gang" are okay, mid-rock things. That's basically it, unless you want to laugh at the misfires "Biscuit Head" and "Big Fat Funky Booty". I mean... stick with Pocket, really.
