Hands down, one of the best albums of my lifetime. Over the years I've listened to it hundreds of times straight through and have never tired of it - it's that good. Been through every type of recording (vinyl, cassette, CD) and now it's time to go digital. Amazing - it still sounds great!
Elvis Costello usually gets all the songwriting hurrahs but Squeeze was superb in it's hey day and beyond. This is a good primer if you want to hear new wave Squeeze.
why didn't Squeeze rule the 80's ? It's hard to understand when you listen to this collection.... the only reason not to download this "best of" is because you already have downloaded all the original cd's. There are occasions when the arrangements show their age and are a wee bit "synthed out" but a killer set of tunes..... and best the way I can figure out how to spend $6.49.... don't flinch just download it all
