For Ladies Only

GREYFURGANG

Beware! This is an edited version. The original runs over 9 minutes long. It's good but the original is better.

Steppenwolf is the most underrated

idlewildsouth

band I've ever known of. Their sound, like any great band their sound does not sound dated. what they did was so original(at that time for a hard rock band to be doing the songs they did, which was a wonderful combination of mostly originals and a selection of blues songs redefined from their orgins) and their sound was so unique, that they still sound fresh and revelant. Like any great peice of art. I would hope the novice Wolf listener that gets this fine album would go back and buy, Steppenwold, steppenwolf second, Monster, steppenwolf at your birthday party, and steppenwolf live, from that era to get turned on to the real core of this dangerous, and cerebal, hard rockin and b3 blues sounding band. They lyrics go levels beyond their hit songs. It's all good. Try Monster, chickenwolf from birthday, don't step on the grass sam from 2nd

They Say All Music Guide

Steppenwolf were a band that straddled the fence between jamming hard and maintaining catchy AM radio hits, and for a while they pulled it off effortlessly. Here’s their story in a nutshell: all the big hits that have kept the group a staple on oldies and classic-rock radio stations for years. “Born to Be Wild, “Magic Carpet Ride,” “Rock Me,” and “The Pusher” are all here, along with lesser-charting singles and tracks from later albums. – Cub Koda
