Great Solo Electric Bass!
I first became aware of Steve Lawson through his blogging and tweeting, and I am sure glad that his words led me to his music. "Behind Every Word" seems to reflect the way Steve thinks and communicates. Sometimes beautifully melodic, sometimes soulful, rhythmic and funky, each tune on "Behind Every Word" tells a musical story. My favorite tracks are "Blue Planet" with the head-bobbin' road-movie groove, and the bright, looped-out, reggae-happiness of "Nobody Wins Unless Everybody Wins." "Nobody Wins Unless Everybody Wins" is the perfect musical embodiment of Steve's slogan on his homepage (www.stevelawson.net): "the soundtrack to the day you wish you’d had . . ."
