I wish I could say this wasn't dull
Mark Kozelek is fantastic. 'Ghosts of the Great Highway' is probably my all-time favorite album, and I really, really liked 'April'. 'Admiral Fell Promises' shares Mr. Kozelek's amazing delivery and phrasing with those two albums, but this record is dull. The tempo is pretty much the same throughout the whole thing, and there isn't much difference between each song. Still, I'm enjoying it OK, but that's probably due to how much I like Kozelek's style, not the strength of this album. The cover art is apropos - I just wanted to take a nap.
