Benji - melancholy, moving, magnificent

kexrex

Mesmerising music makes sad stories beautiful. As albums go it's a masterpiece - this guy can write. For me, the big pay off is I Watched The Film The Song Remains the Same. I like Micheline and Clarissa too and when I listen to Pray for Newton it's with a clenched fist.

Great lyrics - melodic depression served up by a great voice and guitar licks to slow you down and make you listen. Micheline is the stand out track for me - brought on tears on the first play and a little manly sniff whenever it comes on the shuffle. But download in entirety and immerse yourself in the mood/

Stunning

Perhaps the best album of his career. Unique lyrics, beautiful melodies - genuinely very moving at times. Genius.
