I had 12 Dl's left and so I got this thinking I would go back and pick up the last song (tk 4) to complete it. HAven't done it, probably won't. This was one of those records where the songs started sounding the same just a little too early into the record. There wasn't much to cath my ear with these guys except for the instrumentation which was good, I think the lead vocals was just not doing it for me
Rarely does a Band name capture their sound so effectivly. Their recording is high on the echo like it is recorded in a big spacey home and their sound is contemplative with tinges of Sun Kil Moon and Gomez with a peppy vocalist, glockenspiels, and banjos. I hate when you get turned on to a New Artist on your first day of your e-music credits and that is the type of music the Sunparlour Players provide. Damn you Canada and your great indy scene!
