One of the best debut albums by a singer-songwriter I have heard in years. Play it at least once a day for a week and you'll never want a week to pass by without hearing it. Catch her live on her House Tour - stripped back to basics she is perhaps even better than on the album.
One of the tastiest voices and one of the greatest songwriters to come out of the singer/songwriter scene of Belfast. She's been in NY for a few years and this full length CD has been a long time coming for some, but totally far and above what we thought we were waiting for! Try Bird, if you're not sure about a whole album, but I can guarantee it's a slow burner and will all the more unforgettable for it.
That was the first one I heard from her and I heard it as a background track on a BBC cop show... had the devil of time tracking it down too as she did not have anything released at that time.. She has one of those lovely distinctive voices that is all her own... very nice!
