Thrilling!

THRILLING!! If you think they stopped making great blues records in the 60's and 70's, then check out Tab Benoit. I found this record absolutely exciting to listen to. Tab has a great voice and his guitar playing is even better. This CD was recorded LIVE (!!) in a studio and it shows! No slick production (a la Robert Cray) just hot-shit honest to god great playing! This disc is bursting at the seams with energy. Benoit has learned his craft well from the masters - Lightning Hopkins, Albert King et al. - but he's got his own (authentic) voice and has it going on! ABSOLUTELY, UNEQUIVOCALLY RECOMMENDED
