Hole In The Sky bring us the hollow-boned, introspective sun children, Tame Impala. They make psychedelic, soul-rock music using fuzzed out guitars, dirty bass and phased drums, contrasted with sublime, melodic vocals that results in a sound that has had everyone asking about them. Featuring production from Fred Cherry and remixing by Canyons makes this record even more interesting. On side A we have three originals, while the flip features the remixes. First up on the flipside is Canyons' rework of "Half Full Glass Of Wine", which takes the cosmic sound in a rock direction that perfectly matches the original. Their remix of "Skeleton Tiger" goes deep into fuzzy electro-rock territory with phasing and a real tripped-out feel. From dance music producers, to acid rock heads, to your mum and dad (perhaps not MY mum and dad), this record is one for people who really and truly love MUSIC.
