Simply Amazing
If you have never heard of Tapping the Vein (TTV) before, this album is as good as it gets - if you have, then why are you reading this and buy this album!! Heather Thompson, the vocalist, is simply amazing. The band over all is great, but her vocals add an element to this that is just not found anywhere else. Her voice can lul you to the edge of sleep and then tear you out of it in the next breath. The subject matter is dark and viceral in a way that will make a lot of people very uncomfortable. That is in no way a complaint - her voice lends to the overall element and brings it all home with a punch to the gut. Sure the volume is a little low, but it doesn't detract from the sheer weight of this accomplishment. This album will leave you looking for more TTV - so hunt down "The Damage" and get that also.
