so good

joshua1eight

this record gets better every time I hear it. excellent song writing, excellent instrumentation. Thad's voice is great, you feel it like he feels it. "Oh To Be Loved" could be an all-time favorite of mine. if you look at the review on the bottom of the list, by musicmoggy, you will see some true xenophobia!

Deep wells of Country...

Grub00

I first heard Thad play in a movie theater in Buffalo, NY. He crooned out, "Oh To Be Loved". Its a simple song, but simple sangs are often the hardest to sing well. The guy's got talent, and a good soul for country. The music is a reflection of his roots and life so far. Pride is my favorite on the album and worth the download...

Killer

Love this album - great songwriting, production, and vocals. Especially the vocals. This isn't as country as the album he did with Caitlin Cary ('Begonias') but it does have a similar vibe. The style and tone sort of remind me of Gregory Alan Isakov's excellent 'This Empty Northern Hemisphere' - relaxed, effortless, and powerful. Like that record, this is a rare recording I can listen to numerous times and not tire of.

One of the best...

BarryNall

This is some of the best music I have heard in years. I very rarely love an entire album, but this is one. Sort like Ryan Adams, without angst and sorrow, but instead hope and love. It lifts you up!

Underrated

MaybeThis4

A great singer-songwriter and vocalist, this guy deserves more attention. Fans on Josh Rouse and Ryan Adams will enjoy. Any religious theme is not too heavy handed in my opinion....

Beware of Religious Theme

musicmoggy

An athesist is likely to detest the Christian theme with some songs seemingly being the product of about 5 minutes effort in their composition. Only one of two albums I've erased from my collection.
