Why hasn't this gotten more press?

In an era of many strum-and-hum singers and bands, this is another fine addition. I was taken by There Were Wolves on the first listen, and it's held up after a week of many plays. The album is so solid that I was prompted to ask other friends about the band, none of whom have heard of The Accidental. I'm sure I'll make fans of them in no time. Reference points are not only the folksy set (Vetiver, Neal Halstead, Iron & Wine, etc.), but I hear a bit of Super Furry Animals at their mellowest, as well.

Take A Chance...

This is probably the most obscure thing that I've bought on emusic up to this point. I saw it under the new releases in 2008, and the album cover caught my attention. I previewed a few of the songs, "Knock Knock" and "There Were Wolves," and they both sounded really good to me, so I downloaded the album. Afterwards, I wasn't disappointed whatsoever. There's a lot of good stuff on here - "Jaw Of A Whale" sticks out in particular. The music has a very mellow intense feel to it, and the lyrics are somewhat dark. It's definitely worth a download.

is this the half-sibling of Breathe Owl Breathe and Bon Iver? Comforting and exhilarating at the same time...
