BEAUTIFUL music ... BUT ... digital trash
The songs on this album are examples of the some of the best Scottish music of the 16th-18th centuries and are exciting, touching, haunting, achingly beautiful, and just plain delightful. HOWEVER ... only 1 (!!!) of the 22 tracks (track 22) on this album meets the MINIMUM industry standard, or 192 kbps, for quality digital music downloads. Under eMusic's old pricing plan, subscribers had to fork over 22 download credits to get the entire album, spending as much as $11.00 to purchase ... well, digital trash. Now subscribers have to spend only $5.99. But even at this much reduced price, it's still truly pathetic that eMusic couldn't bother to ensure that its subscribers would receive quality downloads to obtain this "highly recommended" music.
