Not bad

PhunkyFantom

For a group that took ideas from other artist. "Freaky Behavior" steals from "Superfreak", "Move Your Boogie Body" steals from "Freak Of the Week", "Running In and Out Of My Life" steals from "Easy" and "Sexomatic" rips off Prince's "Automatic". But I do like "Do It" and "Holy Ghost".

Too funky. Classic oldschool R&B at its best.

Anticipation!

IMALRYT

Everyone who grew up in the 1970's needs to have this album. The song Anticipation takes me back to the time when love was oh so real in my life!

Holy Ghost!

marfluker

"Holy Ghost" is by far the best song on this album! Listen to it first. Has to be one of my favorite funk songs ever! Very long funk song & it sounds like there is some sort of record scratching in a few sections. It's not scratching, but something like that sound....completely funky. Personally, the rest are not nearly as good as that song.

Greatest Hits post-Stax

Keenear

To be clear, this album contains the Bar-Kays' greatest hits AFTER they left Stax and signed with Mercury. But that means this album is the one you really want; it contains their best work. Listening to it again after almost 20 years reminds of just how great they were!

The 13 Greatest Ghost Songs of All Time

By Mike McGonigal, Contributor

It's Halloween, which is the best holiday out of all the holidays that don't involve presents. On Halloween, everyone pretends to be afraid of ghosts, which are generally thought to be the spirits of dead people who, for some reason or another, are caught in between worlds. I'm not sure I believe in ghosts. It's probably all the Scooby Doo episodes I watched as a kid; ghosts were never real, but rather just Old Mr. Thompson… more »
