Familiar but something different

Melodyman50

This is definitely they're best imo. It has the style and sound that I like about the Black Angels (and I like all their releases) but the songwriting has a little more something to it. I think it was time for them to move in this direction. They had explored all they could in they way they had stylisctically in their previous albums, so the expansion of their songwriting musical/sonic palate was great (if it could be called that) and right on imo. Love it!

Psychedelic Gem

Spiralmind

Fantastically good music like the late 60's masters were capable of doing. Waves of fuzzed guitar with really nice contours in speed and texture. Very well done. I was not aware anyone ever really was able to get to this sound again. War on Holiday is a full on acid rock classic. Move on to Broken Soldier and it just keeps on coming! Crescendos on this one are epic. Will you be the same when this is over? I could go on and on but it will speak for itself. I hear colors...
