Nothing special

I didn't enjoy this very much but may try another of their albums to see if it's any better: I wasn't able to get enough melody from this and the instrumentation wasn't to my liking.

This is simply one of my favorite albums of all time. I'll never forget the day I pulled this album out of the stacks at my college radio station and dropped the needle on "Teaching English Through Sex And Death" for the first time. Think of the Pogues with an artsy-fartsy beat poet leading the way instead of a drunken Shane McGowan. Dense, folksy, utterly unique.
