I do like this album but ...
so glad I saw lordbuckly's review so I checked out Phillip Roebuck. He is outstanding! Don't miss the album! It's my new favorite.

Listen to the music... try to block out the voice
In my opinion, the undisputed high points of this album come from the musicianship of Phillip Roebuck (Banjo, Fiddle, Harmonica, Piano and back-up Vocals). His light was hidden under a bushel in The Boggs and he has gone on to produce some outstanding work as a solo performer. The low point is the lead vocals on this album. Don't get me wrong, sometimes having a tuneless singer is a great thing, but in this case the vocals detract from some otherwise good songs. Proceed with caution...
