If memory serves
Speckled Bird was initially a self-released album called Kissers & Killers aimed at landing a major-label record deal. The Choir rocks harder here than in any of their other offerings. The record deal never transpired, and the band only rarely approaches the sometimes raucous heights of Speckled Bird. The band contributed an acoustic version of Wilderness to a compilation called Brow Beat that is, IMO, superior to the version here.
