Well TONE 5446, I totally agree that Sixteen Candles is a Doo Wop song (sung by rhythm and blues artist Johnny Mastrangelo is "spelled" out as a song title. However, for future reference, "spelt" is a grain, (flour, to be more precise), not a term used for spelling bees. The Crests had a myriad of beautiful music and all such artists should be revered for their talents.
