Better than their previous work?

KfuMike

Hard to believe, but yes, I think so. This is the first album in a long time I've downloaded (and liked) every single track. Not a huge departure from Time to Die, but it does broaden their sound a bit. If you liked The Visitor and Time to Die, click 'download album' NOW!

Genre-Changing Album

I have only listened once through, but what a powerful, interesting sound! I listen to a lot of CDs while driving, and I love albums that just force you to stop and listen. Not sure how to describe the sound other than it resonated the same way that Soft Bulletin did the first time I heard it. I have both Time to Die and Visitor but neither sounds this good or has the range of this album. The tracks Sleep, and Hunting Season are both excellent, and the coda at 4:00 of Going Under hit me so hard, I had to back it up and listen again!

Track 8 "Companions" Skips

indietroy

Request to re-download "Companions". The track skips, and it even skips during the web-based audio sample. Other than that, the album is very enjoyable.

By eMusic Editorial Staff, eMusic Contributor

Remember, during the halcyon days of the video store, the "Staff Picks" shelf? The place where employees got to lobby for their favorite films, and the place where you could go for a reliable selection when you just weren't sure what you wanted to watch? We're taking that principle and running with it: eMusic is proud to present this regular, monthly roundup of our editors 'and members 'current faves. Whether it came out 30 years… more »
