Breakup and Makeup
The 1973 violent breakup of the Everly Brothers is well documented. Ten years later a reconciliation took place resulting with this concert in London's Royal Albert Hall. The concert was taped and originally released on VHS. (I bought a copy when it came out. It's nice to see e-music offering the audio version as my VHS tape has long since worn out.) Phil and Don enjoyed a strong British following throughout their careers making the Royal Albert Hall a natural place for them to reunite. Their voices and harmonies were still in good form and the crowd was appreciative. Traditional Everly Brothers fans will enjoy this double CD. Others may be a bit put off by some of their less known and more traditional songs.
