Has Its Moments
This a pretty good album, more interesting live (I saw an awesome show last summer in Solana Beach), certain songs are a bit dull, but all Jimmie Dale's vocals are amazing as usual (he only sings lead on a handful). 'Wheels of Fortune' is a great song -- musically, lyrically, and vocally (J.D.) -- and they re-visit several songs from their past, 'See The Way' and 'Deep Eddy Blues.' This is a must for Jimmie Dale Gilmore, Joe Ely, or Butch Hancock fans, but others should try the older Flatlanders work first or test the waters with a few downloads, perhaps the title track.
