It's been a long time that I have listened to a new album by a new group and gotten excited about it. The Fray's Scars & Stories is one such album. Personally, most of the new music I have been hearing is devoid of catchy melodies and hooks. And most importantly, devoid of good musicianship. These guys have it all. And they have made a very, very good and very consistent album. Something that is so incredibly hard to find these days i many genre. From the first track "Heartbeat" through the last tune "Be Still" the album held my attention and I just couldn't stop listening to it. Not that I wanted to, but the music is that compelling. Try it. You'll be hard pressed not to like it. Although I am betting that you'll really like it. Maybe even love it.
