I didn't quite know what to make of this at first but I found the more I listened to it the more I liked it. This recording has great depth. I am listening to it constantly at the moment and I am discovering new things about it at every listen.
The Future Kings if England are absolutely the best new band I've heard in a long time. If you like Pink Floyd's "Saucerful" and "Ummagumma" phase download this. I prefer the FK's second effort "The Fate of Old Mother Orvis" but many other reviewers I've read prefer this one. I listen to both of them constantly. If they were vinyl they'd have melted a month ago. The FK's aren't as heavy as bands like Acid Mother's Temple but they aren't poppy neo-psych either. If you want to get a taste before buying the whole cow download "Lily Lockwood" and/or "Silent and Invisible Converts."
