Smooth Like Jam
The Glad Version encompass exactly what the Twin Cities music scene is all about. The Glad Version follow in the footsteps of bands like Alva Star and the Olympic Hopefuls and do so triumphantly. The range of the work on Smile Pretty Make Nice gives something for everyone. The emo Pop of Hit & Miss is catchy to say the least, but is nicely balanced with more creative pieces like Options and Absolutely. Svec's smooth vocals are balanced extremely well with the rifts produced by guitarist Chris Salter and bassist Shawn Neary. McGregor rounds off the ensemble with talented and unique beats. A highly enjoyable and highly recommended album for all.
