Heartbreaking harmonies
Classic Studio One. Sam Cooke's jaunty 'Sixteen' redone as haunting and melancholy. 'Be A Man' is the missing link between The Impressions' 'Train A Coming' and JB's 'Say It Loud (I'm Black And I'm Proud)'. 'Fattie Fattie' doesn't come from the most liberated perspective but other than that there isn't one to skip.
Take note this is Studio One!
All the Heptones material on Trenchtown is worth checking out if you like classic scratch raggae - and much of it is from Studio One.
