Rock N Roll.

kjt1981

The perfect andidote to landfill indie, or tepid semi-tune bedwetters. If you ever liked the Stooges, or The Jesus and Mary Chain, or want the sound of Little Richard played by a punk band you'll love it. Its sheer eviscerating power is totally charming.

A glorious racket!

First heard these guys in my local record shop and thought it was the lovechild of Jerry Lee Lewis and Guitar Wolf! If you can put up with the cement mixer production (I think it suits it) you will be rewarded with some sexy arsed rock n roll. Like the man says "It's not a matter of fact, it's a matter of FUCK!". Yeeeaaaahhhhh, baby!

The Jim Jones Review

EMUSIC-022B3BAE

Little Lee Lewis crashes headlong into the MC Stooge. I have had my ears in the sand too long. Y'know it's just too much and I just don't understand - some of you folks. This is DISTORTION. Check out Lookin' At You - the 5 or Sister Ray - VU WhiteLight WhiteHeat - AND WEEP TEARS OF JOY. PURE joy... Selah

Too much distortion!

RichYan33

This sounds like an audience recording. The band sounds great. Let's hear them without the static.

My album of 2008

nekronaught

This album is simply one of the best albums of 2008, and live they are even better. Pure untainted rock and roll in its rawest form, the band recorded this album on a 4 track in 48 hours to capture that dirty, distorted rock and roll feel that gets lost these days in records that are over produced and lacking in soul. This is a Molotov cocktail of Little Richard mixed with the MC5 and a splash of the Cramps; this is what rock and roll is all about!

AWESOME

Gid9000

Don't be put off by the fact that Noel Gallagher likes this - it's a fierce injection of punk blues carried straight into your neocortex on a wave of distortion. Yes. It's distortion. Probably not to everyone's taste (Crowded House fans take note...), but that's what they sound like so if the album didn't then it would be like so many others where the recorded output fails to capture the kinetic madness of the live sound. These guys are one of the few bands who successfully pull off Little Richard covers live and this album gives you some insight into how they manage it.

this would be a GREAT album if it didn't sound like it was recorded on a fucked cassette player . . . WARNING - WAY TO MUCH DISTORTION ON EVERYTHING ALMOST SOUNDS DEFECTIVE !!

Heard Noel Gallagher rave about these guys on Russell Brand's radio show so I had to check them out; Noel never does me wrong. Great tunes. . .really gets you going. Love it!
