That English sextet the Loungs (pronounced Lungs) met their drummer outside of an Indian restaurant probably says more about their loose, carefree nature than any description of their music could. Even sans anecdotes, track titles like “Armageddon Outta Here” and “Googly Moogly” should point you in the right direction, however. Which isn't to say that the Loungs can't tone down their joyous, bouncy sing-alongs: the group almost gets through a minute-and-a-half of somber chamber pop on “Get Along” before the brass smirks and takes off into a frenetic chorus. That's the Loungs for you, though. Never far from the next good time, their debut is a joyous romp through the English countryside, one pub at a time.
