Astonishing that after more than two decades...
...Ken Stringfellow can still come up with songs as good as "Plastic Paperbacks" and "For the Ashes." Jon Auer's numbers (including the slight "The Glitter Prize") are less compelling this time around, but there's still plenty of good stuff here. "Blood/Candy" isn't the place to start with the Posies' sweet-and-sour blend -- hit the breakthrough "Dear 23" and "Frosting on the Beater" first -- but it's a fine next stop on the trip through the band's career.
