En-Tact

I can not believe this album is over 20 years old. It blew my mind back in 91. I saw them at a small club in NJ and MOBY opened up for them. unreal;)

Compare to UK Release

Rhythmajik

If you can find it, compare this US release to the UK release, if not only for the twice-as-long mix of "Evil is Even" but for slightly different mixes and track order. It's a bit trainspotting, sure, but the two releases are different enough to warrant a new listen. Classic electronic dance from this era.

They Say All Music Guide

Besides being one of the few early British dance albums worth its weight in artistry as well as sound, En-Tact is a truly historical gathering of the cream of the new dance music; mixing and production come from a cast including Paul Oakenfold, William Orbit, Graham Massey, Orbital, Evil Eddie Richards, the Beatmasters, Meat Beat Manifesto, Joey Beltram, Tommy Musto, the Irresistible Force and Caspar Pound. The Shamen fare well also on their own productions, and the singles “Move Any Mountain,” “Make It Mine” and “Hyperreal Orbit” are infectious techno-pop anthems, while “Omega Amigo” is an early ambient classic. – John Bush
